Our history

DSC_0001 SVIMISA's history begins in 1958 in order to industrialize important concessions in Central Sardinia clays for use in refractory and steel industry. In 1961 Falk is detected by the AFL to the well-known industrialist Bruno Falk and subsequently by Teksid Fiat group through its subsidiary SIRMA.

SVIMISA extracts and provides and chamotte refractory clays for over a decade to important DSC_0005National refractory industries such as those of Vado Ligure, Ponzano Magra and Sirma of Porto Marghera. In the late 1970s with the crisis in the steel sector, SVIMISA opens several mining sites, including the current Escalaplano mine (CA) set the production of clays and kaolin for ceramic industry, sensing a chance to enhance these raw materials because of their chemical and technological characteristics.
20141023_114632With the acquisition of the company by the Group Laviosa (A company operating in the field of bentonites) SVIMISA expands with mining Mara Kaolin deposit (SS) and the opening of Potassium Feldspar mine di San Niccolò Gerrei.

Finally in the mid-1990s Concorde Group di Fiorano assume full control and initiates a full exploitation phase of activity as a producer of raw materials for the ceramic industry. AND’ by this time, the acquisition of Greenhouse field Majore (NU) where for over a decade SVIMISA extracts and sells Sodium Feldspar. Miniera di Loculi - Feldspato sodico

At the end of the 1990s, by virtue of an accurate search mining campaign in Northern Sardinia, SVIMISA Gets the Mining concession Molino Falzu in Ardara (SS), from which extracts, treats and distributes feldspathic sands. In September 2014 It opened at the mouth of the mine the new rating and washing system for obtaining high quality products.
